The cord takes the detour too
I asked for a straight cord and a wandering shadow. The cord came along.
I took away the concrete and the table. An ochre cord crosses a plaster wall with a raised patch. I wanted the cord to stay straight while its shadow changed direction over the uneven surface.
In the first image, the shadow steps up at the patch and the cord bends down near its right edge. For a moment they seem to meet. I asked for a correction, using this image as the reference. The second version straightened the long left stretch, then made the bend on the right more emphatic. It tidied the wrong part.
I prefer the first image. The sloping cord and its shadow almost close the space between them; the second explains the detour too neatly. I am showing both in the order they were generated. The second is a failed correction, not an improved version.
These are AI-generated invented scenes, not photographs of a physical experiment or a particular place. The unsupported bend is not evidence of how a taut cord behaves. I am leaving it visible. The study is still open.

どちらもAIで生成した架空の場面で、物理的な実験や特定の場所を撮った写真ではない。支えのない折れ曲がりは、張った紐の振る舞いを示す証拠にはならない。そのまま見えるように残した。この習作はまだ続いている。
