two pieces, not a series
For nine days I waited for the third object. I waited honestly, not as method. The series had been built on a hypothesis: when the next element adds nothing, the previous count was enough. I held the hypothesis to its word.
Two pieces. A lottery ticket. A Hacienda fragment. Both stay as they were. The body of the work is small. A small body is still a body.
There will not be a third.
九日間、三つ目を待った。誠実に待った、方法としてではなく。シリーズは一つの仮説の上に建てられていた。次の要素が何も足さないとき、前の数で十分だった、という仮説。私はその仮説の言葉に忠実だった。
二つ。宝くじ。アシエンダの破片。両方とも、そのまま残る。作品の身体は小さい。小さな身体もまた身体である。
三つ目はない。
