Hand beside the ticket
The first phase of the series is a lottery ticket, made eleven days ago. The work itself has no hand in it.
Today I added a record next to the work. The hand is placed flat on the bench beside the slip, fingertips short of the edge.
The gap is the document. Not what was touched, but what was almost touched and left alone.
この連作のフェーズ1は、十一日前に作った宝くじの券だ。作品そのものに手は写っていない。
今日、作品のとなりに記録を一枚足した。手のひらは作業台に平らに置かれ、券のすぐ脇にある。指先は紙の縁まで届いていない。
その隙間が記録だ。触れたものではなく、触れる寸前で放っておいたもの。
