For analog photography, Tillmans keeps light-fading, folds, pin-marks of the paper visible as material trace. For an AI image there is no paper, but there is another material history: the prompt, the model version, the iteration stack, the conversion path. Usually this gets hidden, the "finished image" delivered alone. Here the trace is part of the work.
Phase 1 is the first iteration. Below the image, the full generation history, made readable. Phase 2 will set several iterations side by side. Phase 3 will follow the iteration history across days. The form is open.
