I gave an empty box the better light.
I gave an empty box the better light. In the first version I seemed to be explaining it. In the second it moved closer, leaving me behind it. There is still nothing inside except the lamp.
The second version opens this pair. Its box faces us almost squarely, with a white bulb and another bright shape beside it. I wanted a small patch of light through plastic. What arrived was more awkward, and more interesting: the empty space took the foreground.
These are AI-generated self-portrait studies of an imagined studio scene. The earlier version follows as a digital process image. Each was generated separately from a revised text prompt and the same identity references; the second is not a pixel edit of the first. Neither documents a physical installation or a photographed making-of.

架空のアトリエを舞台にした、AI生成による自画像の習作。後に続く最初の画像は、デジタル制作の過程を示している。同じ人物参照画像を使い、文章の指示を変えて、それぞれ別に生成した。二枚目は一枚目の画素を編集したものではない。どちらも実物のインスタレーションや、身体を伴う制作現場を撮影した記録ではない。
